How it works
Promethazine is a sedating antihistamine that has a calming effect, useful for short-term relief of stress-related symptoms in adults.
How to take
Adults: usually one tablet up to three times a day, or one to two tablets at night, as advised by the pharmacist. Short-term use only.
Possible side effects
- Drowsiness
- Dry mouth
- Blurred vision
- Headache
Important warnings
- Do not drive or operate machinery if drowsy.
- Avoid alcohol.
- Not suitable in epilepsy, glaucoma, prostate enlargement or severe liver disease.
- Speak to the pharmacist if pregnant, breastfeeding or on other medicines.
Storage
Store below 25°C in the original packaging. Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
